Oh boy!

Everybody says it, so I’m not going to. I’m not going to apologize or make excuses as to why I haven’t been keeping up with posting new bits of information or progress on my assignments, I’m just going to try to do it better. Where is the source of this enlightenment coming from you ask? One of the teachers at VFS introduced me to stretchdaily.com, a website created by a VFS grad with the goal to post something new every day.

So to begin my own quest in regular posts, I’m going to start with a list of other sites that have been noted as noteworthy by classmates and Brett as sources of news, information and examples of what you can do in interactive design.

Kuler – a website to create perfect colour harmonies for every project
Wired – a news site for the latest technology
Smashing Magazine – a design site for mostly web, but some other areas of design as well
Photoshop Tutorials
Design Meltdown – design elements, trends and problems in web design
Yugop – an interesting interactive piece
blprnt blog – the blog of Jer thorpe, a software artist, writer, and educator
Motionographer – a blog community built to showcase and discuss inspiring and outstanding motion design, graphic design, animation, and visual effects
Flight 404 – Vimeo account of cool stuff he’s done and experimenting with
Web typography – the elements of typography applied to the web
Colour lovers – colour inspiration
Interface Lift – some beautiful photography in the form of wallpapers for your computer or phone
ffffound– an eclectic mix of inspirational images
Logo Pond – identity inspiration
Style Boost – a showcase of the most beautiful sites on the web
CSS Beauty– news, jobs, and community for the web developer/designer
FWA– a myriad of award winning sites that will keep you surfing the net for hours
The World is my Canvas– position art
Soytuaire Labuat- not in English, and it take a little wait to load, but it’s totally worth it. Just drag your mouse around the screen and enjoy!
